Here's a question for ya...

When it comes to blogs, what do you like to read about?

I've realized that a lot of times I write about my job, how I have seen God at work, prayer requests and recently I've posted videos...

The reason I started this blog two years ago, was to stay connected with family and friends when I was living overseas. After being State-side for over a year, I have continued to blog and this and that - and I admit, I've enjoyed looking at the statistics of readers. I'm analytical like that *adjusts nerdy glasses*.

So I was wondering... for you as the reader, what do you like to read about? When I read other people's blogs, I personally like pictures and different kinds of media and obviously cool stories. I want to write posts that are meaningful, playful, fun and refreshing. I want to share stories of encouragement, randomness, joy and amazement. 

Thoughts, ideas, opinions?

Prayer

When you say "I'll be praying for you", how long does that commitment mean? Till the prayer is answered? As often as you think of them?

I recently found myself saying that (and wanting to mean it) to a couple people. As I was thinking about it, 'for how long am I really committing to praying for'?

Someone told me once that if you see a stranger who looks like someone you know, maybe God is prompting you to pray for them. My junior year of college, I often saw this guy who looked like my friend Sanjay - who at the time, was undergoing major health issues. Taking that suggestion to mind, I found myself praying for Sanj often.

The concept of prayer is pretty unique. We can talk to the Creator of the universe at any time, not matter the circumstances, subject matter, language, or timezone. He's ready and waiting. I personally know I don't utilize this enough.

So, the next time you offer to pray for someone, think of it as sharing your concern and asking for a blessing from the Maker of all.

Psalm 55:17
Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

Open Houses!

I will be hosting an Open House on both Tuesday July 12^th and Wednesday July 13^th from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at my house. There will be a continuous slide show of pictures and videos. I will share some stories and answer any questions about my time on STINT as well as my next assignment in Orlando – working on the PR team and Conference and Event Planning team. I would love for you to come to whichever evening is more convenient. Drinks and deserts will be served.
