In my weakness, He is made strong

God has our best interest in mind, right?

Think about it. At a first thought, "best interest" to most people probably means ease, comfort, control, ability of knowledge, having our wants and desires fulfilled.

But, if we were given everything we wanted, or life just seemed to be constantly perfect - going exactly how we have planned, where would our realization of our dependence on the Lord come from? What would drive us to our knees in prayer? Would we really feel liked we "need" the Lord?

Reflecting on my life, it is in those difficult, challenging, hard, uncomfortable moments I feel closest to God.

"... My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."                                                                       2 Corinthians 12:9

In my weakness, His strength shines.

He is also the Giver of peace.

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful." Colossians 3:15

  1. Amen Sister! Philipians 4:6,7 echos that...
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
    Thanks for the blessed reminder.
